Extract the program (WinAttrib.exe) to any directory of your choicce. Then, run it! To change attributes of multiple files, first click 'Browse'. Then, select the folder where your files are located and click 'OK'. You'll see the directory appear in the Edit Box to the left of the 'Browse' button. You may enter any directory of your choice. Wildcards are also acceptable (ex. C:\Windows\*.exe).
Then, select if you want to change the attributes of files in subdirectories of the directory you selected above. Then, select which attributes you want to change by clicking the appropriate check box. If you want to clear an attribute, click its check box until it is clear. To set an attribute, click the check box until it is checked. If you want to leave an attribute as it is, click the checkbox until it is 'gray'.
Then, click 'Set'. Please note that WinAttrib will not notify you when the attribute change is complete. The program will change the attributes in the background. However, the attribute change is very fast.
